Summer 2023

2023 got off to a very cold start, with a prolonged period of frost in mid-January, so hopefully many of our nasty bugs would have been removed.

2023 will also be noted for its long, cold and very wet Spring which delayed planting out. So far, the summer has remained unpredictable with a very hot and dry spell from June through to the beginning of July and cooler, but much needed, wetter weather from the middle of July.

2023 is a landmark year for the HEHS as the Autumn show will be celebrating its 80th year. Rather aptly this is called an Oak Jubilee.

Please check out our Outings and events page for the upcoming talks and garden visits for the remainder of the year.

Just a quick reminder that live talks take place in the Hatch End Baptist Church, known as the Sanctuary, not the adjoining Church Hall which we used to use. For garden visits the coach leaves from Morrisons.

As always, a special thank you to our Road Stewards who deliver the Bulletins to our non-email members. It is so important that these members are kept up-to-date with society events to enable them to join in when they wish.

If you need to contact the society please email: info.hehs@gmail.com
